Every year dentists from all over the world take a moment to remember the Patron Saint of Dentists, Saint Appolonia on 9th February.
The Latvian Dental Association every year holds a solemn meeting to honour St. Appolonia for her holy and unwavering principles, thus strengthening our spirit and faith in any difficulties. This year was no exception. The meeting was held on 8th February in Riga, in cooperation with ICD (International College of Dentists) Europe Section, District 15, which also includes the subdistrict of the Baltic States.
Music performed by saxophonist Eduards Raubisko created a festive mood for the participants of this joint meeting. This produced a friendly professional atmosphere for the event.
The dentist’s mission is to constantly take care of the patient’s health. The International Day of Dentists is perhaps the only day when dentists can focus on their own health.
